Phu Quoc launches new experiences at the end of the year

Kien Giang Cau Hon, La Festa Phu Quoc Hotel, Vui Phet Night Market... are the newly launched tourism projects and products in Sunset Town.

The Kissing Bridge - an artistic masterpiece designed by Italian designer Marco Casamonti - officially welcomed visitors from December 23.

The Kissing Bridge has a total length of 800m, consisting of two branches, the North and the South, merging into a unified whole but not touching, but 30cm apart, "just right for a hug, a handshake or a kiss". According to a representative of Sun Group, this distance is meticulously calculated so that on January 1st every year, the sunset will fall right in the middle of the two bridgeheads, making this place one of the unique sunset viewing spots.

The Kissing Bridge has a conson span (a horizontal bridge structure, fixed at one end and free at the other) of 25m, on a 65-degree inclined pillar. The total weight of the conson structure on each side is up to 400 tons, equivalent to compressing 40 buses and hanging precariously in the middle of the sea by two inclined pillars. With this inclined pillar structure, the Kissing Bridge has become a new iconic work - a pedestrian bridge on the sea, creating a highlight for Phu Quoc tourism.

Designed as a sculpture on the sea surface, the Kissing Bridge has attracted the attention of the architectural world due to its difficulty. The lines are like a silk strip stretching out into the sea, which is also the structure that creates the solidity of the bridge. With its special design and structure, the bridge is expected by Sun Group to become the "second Golden Bridge phenomenon" for Vietnam tourism.

In particular, the New Year Countdown event "Countdown Phu Quoc 2024 - Radiant Journey" will take place on the evening of December 31 at Anh Duong Square (Hon Thom Cable Car Station) with the participation of famous artists and fireworks, bringing special New Year's Eve moments to visitors.

A representative of Sun Group said that more than 4,000 billion VND has been invested by this group in a series of new products in Phu Quoc.
