Leaders of Vinh Long province pay courtesy visit to Niigata province government

(VLO) On March 28, a trade promotion delegation from Vinh Long province to Japan led by Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Lu Quang Ngoi paid a courtesy visit to the government of Niigata province, Japan. The delegation was received by Mr. Hanazumi Hideyo - Governor of Niigata province.

Governor of Niigata Prefecture - Hanazumi Hideyo welcomed the delegation of Vinh Long Province to visit and work in Niigata Prefecture. Recalling the activities of connecting human resources and connecting businesses in Vinh Long Province that the two localities discussed during the working trip in August 2024, Mr. Hanazumi Hideyo said that Niigata enterprises also had interviews with students of Vinh Long Province and many students were recruited to work at the companies.

Niigata Prefecture also held a seminar to introduce Vinh Long Province’s human resources to businesses in the province. In the near future, Niigata Prefecture will organize a Vietnamese festival in Niigata to connect the Vietnamese community living and working in the province. This is a very meaningful event for the cooperative relationship between Niigata Prefecture and Vietnam.

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Vinh Long province - Lu Quang Ngoi thanked Mr. Hanazumi Hideyo and representatives of Niigata province's departments for taking the time to receive the delegation of Vinh Long province.

In recent times, the cooperation between Vinh Long province and Japanese partners has achieved many positive results in the fields of investment and trade. The whole province currently has 77 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects from 16 countries and territories.

Of which, Japan is currently ranked first with 11 projects, in investment fields such as: food production and processing; agricultural production and processing; production of machines, tools, and small-sized precision machine components.

With the similarities between Vinh Long and Niigata provinces and with the spirit of "Cooperation, sustainable development", friendship, equality, understanding and mutual respect, in 2023 Vinh Long and Niigata provinces signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation and exchange.

Within the framework of the cooperation agreement, the leaders of Vinh Long and Niigata provinces have paid attention to and directed specialized units to exchange and cooperate, and have achieved many positive results in the fields of agriculture, employment, human resource training, education, etc., contributing to socio -economic development and strengthening the friendly relationship between the two provinces.
