Cooperate with China to train human resources and transfer high-speed railway and metro technology

On July 27, Ho Chi Minh City University of Transport (UTH) together with CRRC Intelligent Transport Management and Operation Company and Nanjing Railway Technology Institute signed a memorandum of understanding on comprehensive and sustainable cooperation in the field of railways and metro.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Transport signed a cooperation agreement with Nanjing Institute of Railway Technology, China on training human resources for the railway and metro industry.

During the cooperation signing program, the parties shared experiences in receiving technology transfer, project cooperation, teaching, practice and working in the railway and metro fields.

The two sides cooperate to develop a training program for maintenance and operation of metro line 1; research a model for urban transport development (TOD); consult on smart traffic operation solutions...

The two sides will cooperate in areas such as digital railway operations, maintenance, establishment of laboratories and training of operational personnel, research on advanced railway operations management and development of intelligent transportation.

The signing of the cooperation agreement will be the foundation for Ho Chi Minh City University of Transport to develop high-quality human resource training for Vietnam's railway and metro industry; promote scientific research and technology transfer in the future, especially to anticipate the trend of building urban railway systems, high-speed railways in Vietnam, and new technologies in the field of transportation.

Professor Cao Quoc Hong, Vice President of Nanjing Railway Technology Institute, said that as a university training human resources for the transport industry, Ho Chi Minh City University of Transport will work with the Institute to train human resources and research technology for high-speed railways and metro railways.

CRRC Intelligent Transport Operation and Management Company (China) is the world's largest train manufacturer and rail transit equipment supplier. The company is currently participating in a series of key transport projects in China with many technological solutions for intelligent transport.
