Kinhtedothi-On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024) and the 35th anniversary of National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2024), on December 18, the People's Committee of Trang Tien Ward, Hoan Kiem District held a summary of the work of building National Defense in 2024.

The report of the People's Committee of Trang Tien Ward, Hoan Kiem District on the results of building a national defense foundation for all people shows that in 2024, national defense and security work was seriously implemented and achieved many results. The ward has completed 100% of the target of selecting and calling citizens to join the army; organized the registration of 112 militiamen of military age to join the militia and self-defense force; organized the admission of 29 comrades to the militia force according to regulations. The staff of the ward's Military Command is fully staffed.
In 2024, the Military Command of Trang Tien Ward was awarded the title of Determined to Win Unit by the Hanoi Capital Command; the Ministry of National Defense awarded a Certificate of Merit for its outstanding achievements in work from 2022 to 2023, contributing to the cause of building the Army, strengthening national defense and protecting the Fatherland.
Speaking at the program, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Council Nguyen Ngoc Tuan emphasized that the organization of the National Defense Day has practical significance in deeply propagating the revolutionary tradition and noble qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers"; educating patriotism and love for the nation, thereby raising awareness and responsibility of all people in participating in building a strong national defense associated with a solid People's War posture, strengthening the strength of the great national unity bloc in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
Informing about the results of implementing the city's socio-economic goals and targets in 2024, Chairman of the City People's Council Nguyen Ngoc Tuan said that in the city's general results, there are very important contributions from the team of cadres, party members, businesses and people of Trang Tien ward, Hoan Kiem district.
According to Chairman of the City People's Council Nguyen Ngoc Tuan, in recent years, the City has focused on leadership, direction, and effective implementation at all levels, concretizing through directives, programs, and plans, linking socio-economic development, building strong party organizations, local bases, and increasingly solid defense areas.
Recognizing and praising the contributions and results of cadres, armed forces and people of Trang Tien ward in recent times in terms of budget revenue, socio-economic development results, national defense and security work, Chairman of the City People's Council Nguyen Ngoc Tuan suggested that in the coming time, the Party Committee, government, Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations of Trang Tien ward continue to promote the combined strength of the great national unity bloc in building national defense and propagating to cadres, party members and people about the strategy of protecting the Fatherland in the new situation.
Closely combine socio-economic development with strengthening national defense and security, maintaining political security, social order and safety in the area, building a solid "people's heart position". Arrange a streamlined and effective organizational apparatus to respond to the general situation of the country in accordance with the direction and orientation of the Party and General Secretary To Lam on "New Development Era - The Era of Rising of the Vietnamese People".
At the same time, proactively detect early, grasp the situation, prevent, fight, and defeat all plots and sabotage activities of hostile forces right from the grassroots, not allowing them to become hot spots. Continue to care for the material and spiritual lives of the people, especially policy beneficiaries and meritorious people to consolidate and strengthen the people's trust in the Party and State; create high consensus and unity in the implementation of the Party and State's guidelines, policies, and guidelines as well as in building the all-people national defense.
In addition, promote the advisory role of the military and police to the Party Committees and authorities at the same level on national defense and security work, building defense zones; perform well the national defense and military tasks in the locality; identify them as the core force in preventing, combating, and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, storms, floods, fires, and search and rescue; maintain political security, social order and safety, create conditions for socio-economic development, build increasingly solid defense zones, contribute to building an increasingly rich and civilized locality, where people enjoy a prosperous and happy life.
At the program, Trang Tien Ward People's Committee announced the decision and awarded collectives and individuals with achievements in the National Defense Movement and the Emulation Movement to Win.
