80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army: Building a solid 'people's hearts' position

Colonel Nguyen Thanh Phong, Political Commissar of Tay Ninh Provincial Military Command, presented the Medal for the Cause of Building the Vietnam People's Army from the Minister of National Defense to individuals.

At the ceremony, Lieutenant General Pham Van Dy, former Political Commissar of Military Region 7, reviewed the tradition of the Vietnam People's Army and reported on the world and regional news in 2024. Through the resistance wars against French colonialism and American imperialism, the Vietnamese armed forces have gradually developed, through patriotism from the people and unique military art, gradually affirming Vietnam's military strength and position in the international arena. Lieutenant General Pham Van Dy also sent a message to the younger generation to build the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" in the new era.

Colonel Nguyen Thanh Phong, Political Commissar of Tay Ninh Provincial Military Command, said that in 2025, the Provincial Party Committee and Military Command will continue to do a good job of advising the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee to effectively lead and direct the implementation of local military and defense work, associated with building a solid defense zone; creating conditions for the locality to develop its socio-economy and strengthen national defense and security.

“The forces under the Provincial Military Command will continue to coordinate with functional forces to grasp the situation, maintain political security, social order and safety in the area; effectively carry out defense diplomacy tasks, exchange and twinning activities with military forces in neighboring provinces of Cambodia, contributing to maintaining security, politics, and safety on the border and the good solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and Cambodia,” Colonel Nguyen Thanh Phong emphasized.

In 2024, the provincial armed forces had many outstanding activities such as: coordinating with Military Region 7 to inaugurate the second phase of the border patrol road (length 34.93 km), starting construction of 2.9 km in Chau Thanh district; building 5 residential areas adjacent to the Border Militia Post, phase 3, with 30 houses, costing over 7 billion VND; advising the Provincial Steering Committee 515 to organize the search, collection, memorial service, and burial of 301 sets of martyrs' remains in a solemn and affectionate manner; organizing the Departure Ceremony to assign tasks to the Teams to search for and collect the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who sacrificed their lives and return to the country, phase XXIV (dry season 2024 - 2025) as a model for the National Steering Committee 515 to ensure thoughtfulness and safety...

The Provincial Military Command joined hands and contributed with the political system to take care of the people such as: visiting and giving gifts to residential areas, policy households, ethnic minorities, and religious people on major holidays with a total cost of over 1.6 billion VND; building and handing over 36 houses of Military-Civilian Gratitude and Great Solidarity; presenting 3 sports facilities to religious organizations and residential areas with a total cost of nearly 1 billion VND; organizing well the programs "Spring of Soldiers", "Tet Quan Dan" in Phuoc Chi commune, Trang Bang town; visiting and giving gifts to officers and soldiers of the Border Guard Station and Border Militia Post, with a total cost of 396 million VND.

At the same time, officers and soldiers also participated in mass mobilization work with 71,083 working days, together with sectors and local Party committees and authorities to repair, build houses, visit, give gifts, examine and provide medicine, and provide material support, with a total cost of over 2.5 billion VND; deploy and replicate the "Military Clean Vegetables" model with 56 points giving away more than 26.2 tons of vegetables, tubers, and fruits of all kinds to the people for free, with a total value of nearly 300 million VND.
