A decomposing body was found.

On the evening of June 17, speaking with Thanh Nien , Mr. Khuong Van Oanh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghia Tru Commune (Van Giang District, Hung Yen Province), said that the authorities are   verify the identity of a body recently discovered in the area.

According to the leader of the People's Committee of Nghia Tru Commune, at around 3:30 p.m. on June 16, an employee of a network provider was pulling cables to install internet for a household in the area. While pulling through a vacant lot in Village 14, this person discovered a decomposing body.

"This land was reclaimed for a real estate project, but it has not been implemented yet. The surrounding area is overgrown with grass and few people pass by. Many days before, people smelled a foul smell but thought it was from decomposing animals," Mr. Oanh informed.

The incident was then reported to Van Giang District Police, Hung Yen Provincial Police and the Institute of Criminal Science, Ministry of Public Security.

At the scene, it was determined that the victim had died about 20 days earlier. Only his clothes remained on his body, no identification papers, and no other belongings were found around the scene.

After taking samples for testing, identifying the identity, and serving the investigation, the victim's body was buried by local authorities at the cemetery of village 14.
