Relatives grieve over the body of a 5-year-old boy

(NLDO) – After 2 days missing, the body of a 5-year-old boy in Bac Lieu was found in a shrimp pond nearly 1km from his house.

On February 16, a leader of the People's Committee of Long Dien Tay commune, Dong Hai district, Bac Lieu province said that authorities found the body of TCP (5 years old) in a shrimp pond about 1km from his house.

According to the family, P. lives with his grandmother. Usually, this boy often goes to the neighbor's house to play but only goes for a short while and then comes back. However, on the morning of February 14, because P. was out for a long time, the family searched many places but could not find him.

Upon receiving the report from P.'s family, local authorities, police and dozens of people searched the shrimp ponds around the house, suspecting that the child had slipped and drowned, but could not find him.

On the evening of February 15, a local resident, while checking his shrimp pond, discovered the body of baby P. floating and informed the local authorities.

When P.'s relatives came to receive his body, they cried. The family is currently preparing for the boy's funeral.
