Through patrols and controls, forces from Bach Ma National Park (Thua Thien Hue) discovered and removed more than 1,300 wild animal traps set by illegal loggers in the forest area managed by the unit.
On November 15, Bach Ma National Park (Thua Thien Hue) said that through patrols and controls, its forces discovered and removed more than 1,300 wild animal traps in the forest area managed by the unit.
Specifically, from the beginning of 2024 to now, the force of Bach Ma National Park has conducted 459 patrols in the forest. Through patrols, 92 wild animal trapping points were discovered, and more than 1,300 snare traps, clamp traps, sawtooth traps... used by illegal loggers to hunt wild animals were removed.

Along with dismantling a large amount of wild animal trapping tools, forces from Bach Ma National Park also seized many homemade guns hidden in the forest and demolished 72 camps set up by illegal loggers to serve their activities of encroaching on forest resources.
Bach Ma National Park has a total natural area of 37,423.10 hectares with a buffer zone belonging to the administrative boundaries of Thua Thien Hue and Quang Nam provinces. It is one of the areas rich in biodiversity in Vietnam and the world.
According to statistics, Bach Ma National Park has a very rich flora and fauna with 2,421 plant species and 1,728 animal species, many of which are listed in the Red Book.
