The Department of Agriculture and Environment requires units and localities to implement measures to care for and prevent pests on fruit trees and macadamia trees.

At the same time, the Department requested the districts to assign the Agricultural Service Center to closely coordinate with specialized departments and commune-level authorities to strengthen investigation, detection and guidance for people on timely pest prevention measures.
People need to regularly prune small branches, excess branches, old branches, create ventilation for the tree canopy, help increase the ability of photosynthesis, limit pests and diseases. When fertilizing, people need to balance the nutritional components, supplement fertilizer through leaves to ensure productivity and fruit quality; proactively provide regular irrigation water for the tree, avoid the phenomenon of "water shock" when the rainy season comes.
The growing area of macadamia in Dien Bien province is nearly 7,200 hectares. Of which, the harvested macadamia area is nearly 3,000 hectares, concentrated in some districts of Tuan Giao, Muong Ang and Dien Bien Phu city.
