BFMTV news channel said two men were shot dead on the evening of May 5 (local time) in Sevran, Seine-Saint-Denis, a suburb of Paris (France).
The victims are believed to be involved in drug trafficking. So far, police have not made any arrests.
The incident comes two days after a shooting that left one person dead and six injured in a district also on the outskirts of Paris. French authorities said the killing was linked to drug trafficking.
Earlier, on April 11, a knife attack in the center of Bordeaux, southwestern France, left one person dead and another injured. Police killed the attacker shortly afterward.
The French government raised its security alert level to the highest level on March 24 following a deadly attack at a concert hall in Moscow, Russia, as the country prepares to host the 2024 Paris Olympics in July./.
