PGBank wants to change its headquarters to Thanh Cong Building

Prosperity and Development Joint Stock Commercial Bank (PGBank - UPCoM: PGB) has just announced information on amending and supplementing documents for the 2024 Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders.

In addition to the previously announced contents, the bank plans to submit to the General Meeting of Shareholders for approval the change of headquarters location.

Specifically, on October 23, 2023, the 2023 Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders of PGBank approved the change of the bank's head office address to HEAC Building No. 14-16 Ham Long, Phan Chu Trinh Ward, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi.

However, the HEAC Building is currently undergoing renovations, which are expected to take a long time to complete and currently does not meet the requirements for the bank's headquarters.

Therefore, PGBank's head office is still located at Floor 16, 23, 24, Mipec Building, No. 229 Tay Son, Nga Tu So Ward, Dong Da District, Hanoi City.

Accordingly, PGBank plans to submit to the General Meeting of Shareholders for approval to move its head office to Floors 4, 5, and 6 of Thanh Cong Building, Lot P-D17, Cau Giay New Urban Area, Dich Vong Hau Ward, Cau Giay District, Hanoi.

According to the bank, the decision to move headquarters is to meet the urgent need for working space in line with the set strategy.

According to the information introduced on the website of Thanh Cong Asset Management and Services Company Limited (PSC), HEAC Building and Thanh Cong Building are both invested by Thanh Cong Group (Thanh Cong Tower).

Accordingly, Thanh Cong Building was invested by Thanh Cong Group with a scale of 40 million USD and put into operation from 2020.

The office building has 16 floors and 3 basements for parking, standard floor area is 1,763 m2/floor, rental area is 1,200 m2/floor.

According to PGBank, the bank's current headquarters has an area of ​​about 3,600 m2, and was put into use in 2012 when the total staff was about 200 people.

Up to now, the facilities here have begun to deteriorate and in the near future will not be able to meet the seating needs of staff when PGBank expands its business growth scale.

Therefore, relocating the headquarters is necessary to meet the needs of working space, in line with the strategy of large-scale growth in the coming time.

Previously, 3 strategic shareholders appeared at PGBank after Petrolimex divested all 40% of its capital at this bank.

According to Nguoi Dua Tin's investigation, 2 out of 3 legal entities above are related to Thanh Cong Group (TC Group).

At the General Meeting of Shareholders last April, when asked about Thanh Cong Group's role in PGBank, how Thanh Cong will support PGBank's restructuring and whether the Thanh Cong Group ecosystem is an advantage for the bank, PGBank's Board of Directors said that Thanh Cong Group is one of PGBank's strategic partners.
