Kinhtedothi - On the afternoon of January 3, at the 26th thematic session on personnel work, the People's Council of Nghe An province elected Mr. Le Hong Vinh to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province for the 2021-2026 term.
On the afternoon of January 3, in Vinh city, the People's Council of Nghe An province (Nghe An Provincial People's Council) term XVIII, term 2021 - 2026 held the 26th Session (Special Session) to carry out personnel work and some other contents under its authority.
With 100% of delegates attending the meeting agreeing by secret ballot, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh was elected to hold the position of Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.
Previously, the Provincial People's Council conducted the procedure to dismiss the Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term, comrade Nguyen Duc Trung, due to being assigned other work by the competent authority.
On November 12, 2024, the Politburo issued Decision No. 1674-QDNS/TW approving Comrade Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province to hold the position of Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, term 2020 - 2025.
The Central Organizing Committee also issued Decision No. 1789-QDNS/TW, dated December 31, 2024 of the Secretariat on approving Mr. Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, term 2020 - 2025.
At the 26th Session, the 18th Nghe An Provincial People's Council passed resolutions confirming the results of dismissal and election of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.
Mr. Le Hong Vinh (51 years old, from Lac Son commune, Do Luong district, Nghe An province), has a Master's degree in science and technology management. Before becoming Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, he held the positions of Head of the Planning Department of Nghe An Traffic Management Board, Deputy Director of the Department of Transport, Secretary of Anh Son District Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee, Head of the Economic - Budget Committee of the Provincial People's Council, Permanent Vice Chairman, Deputy Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee.
Nghe An Provincial People's Committee currently has three Vice Chairmen, including Mr. Bui Thanh An, Bui Dinh Long and Nguyen Van De.
