Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Delegation, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien and the Presidium of the Congress chaired the Closing Session.

Attending the event were former member of the Party Central Committee, former Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Huynh Dam and members of the Party Central Committee: Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long, Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quang Phuong - Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, Deputy Head of the Central Organization Commission Nguyen Quang Duong, Deputy Head of the Central Mass Mobilization Commission Pham Tat Thang, and Deputy Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission Vo Van Dung.

Presenting the Report synthesizing comments and discussions at the Congress, Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Party Delegation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dinh Khang said that the Congress had received 110 reports contributing comments on the content of the Political Report. Of these, 64 were from provinces and centrally-run cities, 32 were from member organizations of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and 14 were from individuals representing various classes of people and the Vietnamese community abroad.

The content of the prepared discussion reports is of high quality; many comments and assessments have been studied and summarized from practice, with specific recommendations and proposals, convincing, and suitable to the requirements of innovation in the content and methods of the Front's work. There were 74 opinions expressed at the Congress, of which 12 opinions were expressed directly at the Hall; 41 opinions expressed directly and 21 opinions contributed in writing at 5 Discussion Centers. At the discussion sessions, the Congress delegates promoted the spirit of democracy, high responsibility, frankness, objectivity, many opinions expressed wholeheartedly, contributing to perfecting the contents of the Congress.

Also at the Closing Session, the Congress heard a speech by Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long on the situation and tasks of socio-economic development of the country, coordination between the Government and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; and a speech by Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong on coordination between the National Assembly and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

At the same time, the Presidium of the Congress reported the results of the first meeting of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term X, 2024-2029, and introduced the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term X, 2024-2029; and said goodbye to those who will not continue to participate in the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term X, 2024-2029.

Previously, at the working session on the afternoon of October 17, the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front approved the number of members of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 10th term, 2024-2029, including 405 members, the Presidium of 72 members, the Standing Committee of 6 members; and 8 non-professional Vice Chairmen.

At the first conference of the 10th Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, democratic consultation elected 67 members to join the Presidium of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee (5 vacancies will be filled during the term). At the same time, democratic consultation elected 4 members of the Presidium of the 10th Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to join the Standing Committee of the 10th Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; elected 7 members of the Presidium to hold the position of non-professional Vice Chairmen of the 10th Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

Immediately afterwards, the 10th Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front was introduced to the Congress.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, on behalf of the 10th Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 2024-2029 term, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Delegation, Chairman of the 10th Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Do Van Chien, respectfully thanked the Congress for its high trust and democratic consultation in electing 397 members to the Committee, 67 members to the Presidium; and in electing the Chairman, Vice Chairman - General Secretary, 2 full-time Vice Chairmen and 7 part-time Vice Chairmen.

Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien emphasized: “Deeply aware of our great honor and responsibility, we promise to be dedicated to the assigned tasks, promote our intelligence, uphold our responsibility, work to the best of our ability; overcome all difficulties, strive to complete the assigned tasks in the best way. Focus on synchronously, flexibly, and creatively implementing tasks and solutions, maintaining solidarity, unanimity, consensus, and successfully implementing the directions, goals, and tasks set by the Congress. We look forward to receiving the support and assistance of you, comrades, member organizations, and outstanding people from all classes and social strata, and overseas Vietnamese, so that we can fulfill the important tasks entrusted to us by the Congress…”.

After listening to the draft Resolution of the Congress, 100% of delegates unanimously approved it.

Thus, after 3 working days, the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2024-2029 term has been a great success, completing the entire working program. The Congress called on all classes of people, ethnic groups, religions, armed forces and the overseas Vietnamese community to unite, promote patriotism, actively compete in labor, production, study to build the country to develop more and more, effectively carry out patriotic emulation movements and campaigns launched by the Front...
