TPBank Vice Chairman resigns for personal reasons
Mr. Tu commits not to intervene and not to have any complaints or lawsuits related to these contents.
TPBank's Board of Directors has issued Resolution No. 12 approving the resignation of Mr. Do Anh Tu - Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors for the 2023 - 2028 term as a member of the Board of Directors at his personal request.
In his resignation letter, Mr. Tu said that he was elected by the TPBank General Meeting of Shareholders as a member of the Board of Directors for the 2023-2028 term, and was unanimously elected by the TPBank Board of Directors as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors for the 2023-2028 term from April 26, 2023.
"Now, due to personal reasons, I am writing this application to resign from the TPBank Board of Directors for the 2023-2028 term from March 18, 2025.
Accordingly, from March 18, 2025, I give up the rights and obligations of a member of the Board of Directors according to the law and internal regulations of TPBank.
I pledge not to interfere, not to have any complaints or lawsuits related to these contents," Mr. Tu wrote in the petition.
At the same time, from March 18, 2025, Mr. Tu also resigned from the position of member of the board of directors of Tien Phong Securities Company (TPS).
TPB and ORS stocks fell sharply
Before this information was announced, ORS shares of Tien Phong Securities Joint Stock Company and TPB shares of Tien Phong Bank suddenly dropped sharply from March 20.
On March 20, ORS shares fell to the floor price of VND12,300/share. This morning, March 21, ORS shares continued to fall to the floor with over 9 million shares remaining for sale, but by 10am ORS had escaped the floor and recovered to VND11,500/share.
Meanwhile, TPB shares of TPBank fell 5.3% to VND15,200/share on March 20 with a sudden trading volume of up to 80.9 million units. This morning, TPB shares continued to fall another 1.64% to VND14,950/share.
Tien Phong Securities Company is chaired by Mr. Do Anh Tu.
ORS shares began to fall sharply from around the beginning of March, when Mr. Nguyen Ho Nam, former chairman of the board of directors of Bamboo Capital (BCG), was prosecuted.
Tien Phong Securities Company is the main arranger for 22 bond lots of enterprises related to Bamboo Capital with a total value of VND 20,000 billion in the period 2019 - 2022.
