This afternoon (March 8), the Vietnam Transport Trade Union and the Ministry of Transport Trade Union held a meeting to celebrate the 114th anniversary of International Women's Day (March 8, 1910 - March 8, 2024).
Deputy Minister of Transport Nguyen Xuan Sang presented flowers and congratulated female civil servants, public employees, and employees of the two agencies in particular, and female workers in the transport sector in general.

On behalf of the leaders of the Ministry of Transport, Deputy Minister Nguyen Xuan Sang acknowledged and highly appreciated the contributions of women to the overall results and achievements of the sector. Although the nature of the work of the transport sector and the Ministry's agencies is largely more suitable for men; women have promoted their advantages, strived to overcome the difficulties and hardships of the profession, contributing to the overall success of the transport sector.
"I hope that women will continue to promote their roles, talents, and advantages to participate in more work of the Ministry and the industry. The personnel work of the Ministry of Transport also needs to focus more on developing female staff," Deputy Minister Sang suggested.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Chairman of the Trade Union of the Ministry of Transport shared: Female cadres of the Ministry of Transport will always actively study to improve their professional qualifications and skills, continue to compete, strive, have many good ideas, many good initiatives in work, maintain and uphold the title "Good at public affairs, good at housework", contributing to the completion of the political tasks of the Ministry of Transport and the industry".
Right after the commemorative rally, female cadres listened to and discussed with poet Tran Dang Khoa about the topics of gender equality and family happiness.
Also in the commemorative program, the Trade Union of the Ministry of Transport participated in the commemorative activities of March 8 and the Spring Fair organized by the Trade Union of the Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation yesterday (March 7). With the theme "Healthy and Happy Spring", the booth of the Trade Union of the Ministry of Transport won third prize, all revenue from the booth will be used for charity activities.
