Mr. Nguyen Thai Vinh Nguyen, Head of the Department of Education and Training of Thu Duc City, said that in order to survey, evaluate, and ensure the selection of students with suitable abilities to study at secondary schools that are implementing the model of high-quality, advanced, internationally integrated schools, the 6th grade survey is designed to include 2 parts:

Multiple choice test (in English), 30 minutes. Students answer 20 multiple choice questions about natural sciences, social sciences and common sense.

TEST CONTENT

Essay section, test time 60 minutes, content includes math and logical thinking, reading comprehension and writing, English.

Mr. Vinh Nguyen added that the 6th grade test ensures that it closely follows the knowledge and skills standards of the 2006 General Education Program, approaching the 2018 General Education Program, focusing on applying learned knowledge and skills to solve practical problems, and differentiating students. The selected materials included in the test are quite close and familiar to students, including local education content, specifically content related to Thu Duc City in particular and Ho Chi Minh City in general.

"The subject is closely linked to students' real life, to activities that are developing well in Thu Duc City (reading culture) and focuses on local education. Therefore, students need to have practical knowledge about the place where they live and study," emphasized the Head of the Department of Education and Training of Thu Duc City.

On June 22, the Department of Education and Training of Thu Duc City is expected to announce the test scores for grade 6.

This morning, 2,837 candidates in Thu Duc City area attended the entrance exam for grade 6 of 3 secondary schools: Tran Quoc Toan 1, Hoa Lu, Binh Tho.

Of these, 1,025 students participated in the 6th grade entrance exam at Tran Quoc Toan 1 Secondary School. The school's enrollment target is 315 students, with a competition ratio of about 1/3.3.

There are 1,116 students participating in the 6th grade entrance exam at Hoa Lu Secondary School. This school has a quota of 385 students, the competition ratio is 1/2.9.

There are 696 students participating in the 6th grade entrance exam at Binh Tho Secondary School. The school's quota is 280 students, the competition ratio is about 1/2.5.

It is expected that on June 22, the Department of Education and Training of Thu Duc City will announce the scores and answers to the assessment test for admission to grade 6 of the above 3 schools.
