These days, on every street of Khanh Hoa province, flags and flowers are flying brightly. The Party Committee, government, army and people of the whole province are filled with joy, happiness, and are enthusiastically competing to achieve new feats and achievements to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Khanh Hoa Province Liberation Day (April 2, 1975 - April 2, 2025).

Let's look back, exactly 50 years ago, on April 2, 1975, Khanh Hoa was liberated, creating momentum to attack and liberate the entire Truong Sa archipelago (April 29, 1975), contributing to the complete liberation of the South, unifying the country on April 30, 1975, so that our country could blossom with independence and bear the fruit of freedom. These feats of arms contributed significantly to the glorious victory of the entire nation; the Party and the State conferred the noble title: Hero of the Armed Forces on the People and the People's Armed Forces of Khanh Hoa province.

50 years since the liberation, especially in nearly 40 years of implementing the renovation policy, the Party Committee, government, army and people of Khanh Hoa have always promoted the heroic revolutionary tradition, solidarity, unanimity, dynamism, creativity, upholding the bravery and spirit of the land and culture of Khanh Hoa people, resolutely implementing patriotic emulation movements to overcome all difficulties and challenges, exploiting the potential and advantages to develop the province rapidly. And in the past 10 years, Khanh Hoa has always maintained a fairly high growth rate, the economic structure has shifted in a positive direction. In particular, since the beginning of the 18th Provincial Party Congress term until now, despite the general difficulties of the whole country and the specific difficulties of the province, Khanh Hoa has always maintained solidarity and unity within the Party, focusing on Party building, building a clean and strong political system, acting as the nucleus for development. The provincial Party Committee and government have paid attention to leading and directing the completion of development policies and institutions, promptly concretizing and proactively implementing the mechanisms, policies and resources of the Central Government prioritizing the province. Thanks to that, currently, the socio-economic infrastructure system has been invested in more and more synchronously, the appearance of rural and urban areas has become more and more spacious; people's lives, especially ethnic minorities and mountainous and island areas, have been significantly improved; social security, protection and health care for people continue to be ensured; political security, social order and safety are stable, national defense is maintained; especially poverty reduction has achieved positive results when the two mountainous districts of Khanh Son and Khanh Vinh were recognized by the Prime Minister as districts that have escaped poverty... These results and achievements have inherited and crystallized the indomitable revolutionary tradition of the people of Khanh Hoa, the dynamism and creativity of the Party Committee, government, army and people in the cause of building the homeland. This is a great and valuable asset for Khanh Hoa to continue to strive to overcome all difficulties and challenges, building a rich and strong homeland in the new period.

The 50th anniversary of Khanh Hoa Province Liberation Day is an opportunity for us to review the glorious history and heroic fighting tradition of the Party, government, army and people of Khanh Hoa. At the same time, we express our gratitude to generations of fathers, brothers, compatriots and comrades who contributed their human, material and blood resources to the cause of liberating our province and building Khanh Hoa to develop and become as prosperous as it is today.

Facing new opportunities, Khanh Hoa is striving to accelerate and make breakthroughs to create a solid foundation to enter the decade of enhanced development, striving to be in the top 15 provinces and cities with the highest per capita income by 2030, with continuous double-digit growth in economic growth rate, budget revenue and per capita income. At the same time, it is also resolutely implementing the arrangement and streamlining of the apparatus for effective and efficient operation, associated with the structure and improvement of the quality of the staff, civil servants and public employees according to the policy of the Politburo. Although there is still much to do, the Party Committee, government, people and army of Khanh Hoa will inherit and strongly promote the tradition and revolutionary spirit of Khanh Hoa Liberation Day, with the foundation, opportunities, and great and comprehensive potential that the province has achieved since the liberation day to continue to unite, join hands, and be determined to overcome difficulties and challenges, take full advantage of opportunities and advantages, accelerate, break through, and strive to build Khanh Hoa into a centrally-run city by 2030, with people having a high standard of living, peaceful and happy. This is the aspiration to rise in the new era - the era of rising to prosperity, and also a way to continue to show gratitude to the merits of previous generations who sacrificed their blood and bones so that we can have a prosperous, free and happy life.
