Add admission combinations to police schools

Specifically, 8 police schools will recruit 2,300 students according to 3 methods: Direct admission; Admission combining international language certificates with the results of the Ministry of Public Security's assessment test; Admission combining the results of the high school graduation exam with the results of the Ministry of Public Security's assessment test.

However, the Ministry of Public Security has made some adjustments to methods 2 and 3. Specifically, with the admission method through international language certificates, schools will not directly admit candidates with international language certificates equivalent to IELTS 7.5 or higher as in previous years, but will convert them to the equivalent of the scores the candidates have obtained through international language certificates.

To expand the recruitment source with candidates having international foreign language certificates combined with the Assessment Test scores, the admission conditions set by the Ministry of Public Security are that candidates must have an IELTS certificate of 5.5 or higher, a good academic ranking in 3 years of high school or higher, and an average foreign language score of 7 or higher.

In the method of combining the results of the high school graduation exam with the assessment test of the Ministry of Public Security, the admission score is still the total score of the 3 subjects in the group (accounting for 40%) and the assessment test score of the Ministry of Public Security is converted to a 30-point scale (accounting for 60%).

However, this year, the Ministry of Public Security has expanded the selection combinations, increasing from 7 combinations in 2024 to 15 combinations in 2025.

The Ministry of Public Security notes that candidates are not allowed to register for pre-selection in many majors, many academies, universities and at many admission boards under the Ministry of Public Security.

Applicants must go directly to the Commune Police to register for the preliminary selection, bringing the original or a certified copy of the original transcript, birth certificate and citizen identification card. For citizens who have completed their public security or military service, in addition to the above documents, they must also bring a discharge decision.

Last year, the highest benchmark score for the eight police schools based on the combined assessment test scores and high school graduation exam scores was 25.52.
