During the visit, the delegation met with Mr. Diosdado Cabello, First Vice President of the ruling United Socialist Party (PSUV); met and worked with Vice President in charge of foreign affairs of the PSUV Rander Peña, Minister of Foreign Affairs Yvan Gil Pinto, Minister of Agriculture and Lands Wilmar Castro Soteldo, exchanged opinions with leaders of several ministries, sectors and localities of Venezuela; worked with the Venezuela - Vietnam Parliamentary Friendship Group... to promote cooperation in a number of areas.

During meetings and working sessions with senior leaders of the Party and State of Venezuela, Mr. Nguyen Ho Hai expressed his pleasure to visit and work in the beautiful country of Venezuela, especially in the context of the two countries celebrating the 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations. He said that the Vietnam-Venezuela relationship is developing better and better and is being promoted in many fields, especially in politics and diplomacy through delegation exchanges at all levels, as well as experience exchange activities in Party building. He proposed that the two sides promote exchange activities and share experiences in areas of mutual interest, such as cooperation in agriculture, urban management, Party building and cadre training, etc. In addition, it is necessary to connect businesses of both sides to promote trade; create favorable conditions for Vietnamese goods, including goods from Ho Chi Minh City, to access the Venezuelan market, as well as for more and more Venezuelan investors and products to be present in Ho Chi Minh City.
The first vice president of the ruling PSUV party, Diosdado Cabello, said that 2024 will mark many important anniversaries between Venezuela and Vietnam, especially the 60th anniversary of the day Venezuelan guerrillas Carlos Argenis Martinez kidnapped American Lieutenant Colonel Michael Smolen in Caracas in exchange for the life of Vietnamese hero Nguyen Van Troi.
Venezuela wants to learn from Vietnam's development process, from 40 years ago and Vietnam's current success is praised by the world.
Mr. Diosdado Cabello and Mr. Nguyen Ho Hai agreed on a number of contents to gradually concretize the agreements between the two countries, including enhancing the exchange of experiences in party building work, promoting economic, cultural and tourism cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City and localities of Venezuela in general and the capital Caracas in particular.
Receiving the delegation from Ho Chi Minh City, Foreign Minister Yvan Gil Pinto said that Venezuela is facing the same difficulties that Vietnam has experienced, so it is in great need of Vietnam's help. After the delegation's visit and work, the contents proposed by the two sides will be implemented immediately with specific actions.

Working with the Venezuela - Vietnam Parliamentary Friendship Group, Mr. Nguyen Ho Hai highly appreciated the positive contributions of the Venezuelan National Assembly, including the special role of the Venezuela - Vietnam Parliamentary Friendship Group, in consolidating and enhancing the good traditional relations and comprehensive partnership between the two countries. It is known that in August 2023, the Friendship Parliamentary Groups of the two countries had an exchange and talks during the visit to Venezuela of the National Assembly Delegation and the Vietnam - Venezuela Parliamentary Friendship Group.
At the meeting, many activities connecting Ho Chi Minh City youth with Venezuelan youth, Ho Chi Minh City People's Council with Venezuelan Congressmen were proposed.
Chairman of the Venezuela - Vietnam Parliamentary Friendship Group, Congressman Saúl Ortega, hopes that through the visit and work of the Ho Chi Minh City Delegation in Venezuela, there will be many contents and areas of cooperation signed between Ho Chi Minh City and the capital Caracas. He asked the Venezuelan Ministry of Foreign Affairs to soon arrange for the Venezuela - Vietnam Parliamentary Friendship Group to visit Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh City to contribute to further strengthening the Vietnam - Venezuela relationship.
