Accordingly, Party Secretary and Chairwoman of the People's Council of Doi Binh Commune, Le Thi Thu Hien, said that at 8:10 a.m. on October 18, about 20 people from Hung Quoc Village, Doi Binh Commune gathered to crawl through the barbed wire fence protecting the Tuyen Quang-Phu Tho Expressway (the fence had been cut in advance), following the drainage ditch between Km10-Km11 to block the expressway.
This group of people gathered, used ropes and signs to block the highway and had some opinions that were said to be related to the area of the old football field of Hung Quoc village that the highway passes through.
When reclaiming the land, the Yen Son District Compensation Council reclaimed more than 1,700 square meters from the People's Committee of Doi Binh Commune and did not compensate because this was land under the management of the People's Committee of the Commune. However, some people in Hung Quoc Village did not agree and requested to re-grant the land area for a football field.
At the time the subjects blocked the highway, at least 10 cars of all kinds were unable to circulate. Among them, Sam Van Hien, residing in Hung Quoc village, broadcast live on his personal Facebook page "Sam Hien". After grasping the situation, the police of Doi Binh and Nhu Khe communes coordinated with Doi Binh commune officials to come and propagate and mobilize the above citizens not to gather in large numbers and block traffic on the highway.
Currently, the authorities have dispersed the people to ensure traffic.
Recently, on the Tuyen Quang - Phu Tho highway, there have been consecutive road blocking incidents causing traffic safety problems. In early January 2024, many people brought trees to block the road at Km33.
