Speaking at the conference, Mr. Hoang Viet Phuong, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province, informed that 2023 is the first year that Tuyen Quang province implements the Project to innovate the organization of Thanh Tuyen Festival in the period of 2023-2025, with the key goal of building and developing the Festival into a tourism product with national and international brands. Thanh Tuyen Festival 2023 will be held from September 20 to September 27, 2023 in Tuyen Quang city, Tuyen Quang province.

Within the framework of the Thanh Tuyen Festival 2023, a series of unique and attractive cultural, sports and tourism activities will take place, which are elaborately and carefully prepared, on a regional and national scale. The highlights of the Thanh Tuyen Festival 2023 are: The program "Thanh Tuyen Festival Night" is organized on a national scale, with the participation of 6 Viet Bac provinces and localities of 2 countries with cooperative and friendly relations with Tuyen Quang, namely South Korea and the Lao People's Democratic Republic. The program is broadcast live on VTV1 channel, Vietnam Television; The 14th "Through the Viet Bac Heritage Sites" tourism program (with the participation of 6 Viet Bac provinces, including: Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Lang Son, Thai Nguyen, Ha Giang and Tuyen Quang). The program is expected to be broadcast live on more than 30 radio and television stations nationwide; Festival of   Community Cultural Tourism Village of 6 Viet Bac Provinces; Program "Cinema - Connecting Heritage and Tourism of Tuyen Quang"; Trade - Tourism Fair of Tuyen Quang Province in 2023; Program "Displaying and introducing the quintessence of Vietnamese cuisine" in 2023...

Thanh Tuyen Festival was initially just a spontaneous activity of the people from the Mid-Autumn Festival in 2004 in Tuyen Quang city. Up to now, after nearly 20 years, the making of giant Mid-Autumn lantern models for children to parade on the streets has spread to all hamlets, villages, residential groups of the city to districts in the province. Over time, from a spontaneous activity among the people, it has been raised to the scale of the city, then the province and there are more and more interesting activities, unique and attractive animal models. Thanh Tuyen Festival has not only become a unique and special cultural feature every Mid-Autumn Festival of Tuyen Quang people, attracting a large number of young and old, men and women, and ethnic groups to participate, but also become the unique and largest Mid-Autumn Festival in the country.

After nearly 20 years of being created, maintained and developed by the people, Thanh Tuyen Festival has been recognized by the Vietnam Guinness Book of Records three times for: "Mid-Autumn Festival with the largest number of lantern models in Vietnam"; "Largest Mid-Autumn Festival tray in Vietnam"; "Largest pair of lanterns in Vietnam". The festival has attracted hundreds of thousands of children and domestic and international tourists to visit and experience.
