Opening of Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival

The Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival is an annual tourism stimulus activity, promoting the image of the Capital as a "Safe - Friendly - Quality - Attractive" destination with the message "Hanoi - Come to love" to attract tourists to Hanoi. This is a practical activity in response to the National Tourism Year 2025 "Hue - Ancient Capital, New Opportunities"; is one of a series of events of Hanoi City to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 / April 30, 2025).

The opening ceremony is an art program consisting of 2 parts: “Hanoi to love” and “Hanoi Tourism - World Heritage Destination”, conveying “heritage stories” of the past and present, delving into the harmony and convergence between the cultural and historical flow of Hanoi and the contemporary flow. This is a unique and impressive art program with a laser light show combined with folk and contemporary music, shadow dance performances… bringing unique visual experiences to the audience.

The Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival 2025 will take place until April 13 with many activities. The festival brings unique features in each space to display, promote and introduce tourism products of heritage destinations and craft villages such as: Promoting, performing, introducing intangible cultural heritage, traditional culture, tourism resources of districts and towns in the city; introducing typical cuisine of Hanoi; art photo exhibition; performing and exchanging with artisans; digital transformation of tourism and virtual reality... Notably, there are activities to introduce quintessential products with unique handicraft techniques and honor two craft villages recognized as members of the World Network of Creative Craft Cities: Bat Trang Pottery Village (Gia Lam District) and Van Phuc Silk Village (Ha Dong District); expanding the connection network, developing inter-regional tourism with localities across the country.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ms. Dang Huong Giang, Director of Hanoi Department of Tourism, said: “Following the success of the Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival seasons in previous years, this year's program with the theme "Hanoi Tourism - World Heritage Destination" honors the cultural heritage values ​​of the capital, through tourism gifts to tell stories about heritage values, urging tourists to experience and preserve memories, thereby spreading the love of Hanoi to domestic and international friends."
