Many professional players will appear in Binh Duong 7-a-side tournament

Entering the 5th season, Binh Duong 7-a-side football tournament (BPL-S5) has joined the flow with other 7-a-side national championships, taking a step forward to allow participating teams to register a maximum of 2 players each team who are competing in the V-League, First Division, National Cup in 2024, and if they have competed in previous seasons, the regulations are almost unlimited. In addition, the tournament also allows each club to register 2 foreign players.

The organizers and the teams are all excited before the day of participation.

This is a unique new feature compared to previous years when Binh Duong 7-a-side tournament always banned professional players from competing because they wanted to develop the movement. Just having this force participate will certainly make the atmosphere very exciting and the matches will meet the expectations of the viewers.

This expansion is also suitable because in addition to the professional factor, the tournament takes place from April 7 to April 28, the V-League and the first division are also temporarily suspended, so professional players also need a playground to maintain their form. Therefore, with the nod of the clubs, many professional players will immediately participate in the BPL-S 5 tournament to both train and maintain their physical strength, as well as gain more motivation and improve their competition experience.

It is known that the Binh Duong Province 7-a-side Football Championship is one of the large and important playgrounds in the tournament system managed and organized by Phui Football. In the previous 4 seasons, thanks to the professional, methodical and meticulous organization, BPL has always attracted famous clubs and many stars from Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc and Dong Nai to compete. This year, the tournament continues to receive the support of the main sponsor, Minh Canh Construction Company, one of the dedicated units that have been associated with the 7-a-side tournament for many years.

Another new feature of this year's tournament, in parallel with the 5th Binh Duong 7-a-side tournament in 2024, will be the semi-final matches of 4 strong U.13 teams representing Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc, Dong Nai and Ho Chi Minh City, drawing lots to compete, selecting two winning teams to compete for the championship, two losing teams to compete for third place. The total prize for the BPL-S5 tournament is nearly 100 million VND, of which the champion team is 30 million VND.

Present at the tournament launch, expert Doan Minh Xuong welcomed the tournament, which has been maintained regularly and continuously every year since 2019 (except for 2021 when the pandemic forced it to stop) as well as highly appreciated the efforts of the organizers in the increasingly difficult economic conditions but did not give up, still determined to join hands and show their enthusiasm. Some other opinions also hope that the Organizing Committee will focus on medical issues, enhance security, and better safety, avoiding bad things like the incident of fighting and attacking referees in amateur tournaments.

The draw results are as follows: Group A: Bamboo FC (reigning champion), Loc Phat Wine (Binh Phuoc), Thanh Nha FC (Binh Duong), Chim Canh Penguin. Group B has An Nguyen Bao (last season's runner-up), 36 FC, STP Food (Binh Phuoc), Van Binh FC (Dong Nai). On April 7, the tournament opens with 4 matches from 3:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Tan Uyen Stadium, with qualifying rounds on October 7, 11 and 14, selecting the top 2 teams in each group to enter the semi-finals on April 21 and the final on April 28.
