Opened in July 2023, the safe agricultural products store of the Women's Union of Cam Xuyen district (TDP 13, Cam Xuyen town) has contributed to creating conditions and supporting members and people to consume high-quality agricultural products.
Currently, the store provides more than 200 safe agricultural products in Cam Xuyen district and OCOP products inside and outside the province such as: Que Lam organic pork, Cam Xuyen ST25 organic rice, Thu Hung fish sauce, Thanh Dat cu do candy, Loan Do pork roll, clean vegetables, tubers, fruits...
Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Lien - President of the Women's Union of Cam Xuyen district said: "After nearly half a year of operation, the safe agricultural products store has built a reputation with consumers. The store has brought many benefits to both customers and producers by acting as a "bridge" to bring clean agricultural products and food from inside and outside the province to consumers."
Currently, the safe agricultural products store of the Women's Union of Cam Xuyen district provides more than 200 items.
The emergence of safe agricultural products stores has also helped change the habits of producers and consumers in using clean, quality agricultural products.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hien (TDP 5, Cam Xuyen town) said: “The safe agricultural products store has become a new shopping address for me and my sisters in the locality. Here, we have access to clean, fresh, rich and safe foods. In addition, when buying products, the staff also advises me on how to use and preserve food properly, ensuring adequate nutrition, helping me gain more knowledge about food safety”.

In Hong Linh town, the propaganda work on food safety and hygiene (FSH) has been deployed by women's unions at all levels in conjunction with the implementation of the contents of the Campaign to build families of "5 no, 3 clean". Women's unions at all levels have also actively propagated to members and families to properly produce, process and consume clean products, choose foods with clear origins and within their expiry dates; use permitted drugs and additives and strictly comply with regulations on food production and processing...
Ms. Nguyen Thi Tham - President of the Women's Union of Hong Linh town shared: "With many forms such as: integrating through branch activities, seminars, propaganda via social networks... has contributed to raising members' awareness of food safety and hygiene, introducing and promoting safe products, OCOP products... Notably, these activities are implemented flexibly, closely following the actual conditions of the locality to create widespread spread and response in the community".
Many training courses on food safety are regularly organized by the Women's Union at all levels to provide knowledge about food safety to members.
Not only promoting and improving knowledge about food safety for women, the association at all levels in Ha Tinh also actively mobilizes and guides members to comply with food safety rules when participating in food production and processing. Some association bases have built suitable food safety models such as: the cooperative group "Safe Kitchen" (An Hoa Thinh commune, Huong Son district), the model "Women say no to unsafe food" (Hom market, Duc Tho town)...
Ms. Dang Thi Thao - a trader at Hom market (Duc Tho town) said: "After many years of selling meat at the market, to maintain our reputation and ensure the health of our customers, we always pay attention to and focus on food safety. In particular, since participating in the model "Women say no to unsafe food", we have also participated in training courses and seminars on food safety organized by the Women's Union at all levels, thereby improving our knowledge and applying it to our production and trading processes."
The Women's Union of Duc Tho province and district visited and provided additional advice on food safety and hygiene at Nhung Tuan ham production facility in Duc Tho town (August 2023).
It is known that the Provincial Women's Union has successfully built 162 models of "Family of 5 has - Model New Rural Area" Clubs with nearly 8,000 households recognized as "Family of 5 has - Model New Rural Area", including criteria on using safe food products and ensuring nutrition in every family meal.
In addition, the province has also established 9 food safety models, notably: the "Women traders behave beautifully, say no to dirty food" club in Cam Xuyen town and Vu Quang town; the "Women say no to unsafe food" model in Duc Tho district; organic rice cooperatives in Duc Tho and Can Loc; safe agricultural product consumption stores in Cam Xuyen...
The practical activities of the provincial women's associations at all levels have raised awareness and promoted the role of women in ensuring food safety. Thereby, contributing to spreading to the community to join hands in ensuring food safety and reducing the risk of food poisoning.
The Women's Union at all levels will continue to promote propaganda and mobilize members to implement food safety in production, processing, consumption, and building a "5 no, 3 clean" family... Coordinate with functional sectors to strengthen inspection and supervision of food businesses, food processing establishments, and collective kitchens. Maintain and improve the quality of food safety models to provide the market with safe products for community health.
