He first climbed Everest in 1994 and has climbed it almost every year since, except for 2014, 2015 and 2020, when climbing was suspended for various reasons. In 2019, he surprised everyone by reaching the summit twice in just six days.
The Nepalese newspaper added that the person accompanying Kami Rita was a Vietnamese-American billionaire businessman.

In Vietnam, billionaire Chinh Chu is known as the husband of singer Ha Phuong, the older sister of two famous singers Minh Tuyet and Cam Ly.
