The final hurdle preventing the Vietnamese team from winning the 2024 ASEAN Cup is the second leg final match against Thailand, taking place at 8:00 p.m. today (January 5) at Rajamangala Stadium.

Not only are fans counting down the hours to witness the historic match, restaurants, eateries, and cafes in Ho Chi Minh City are also "racing" to take advantage of this opportunity to attract customers.

Sharing with Tuoi Tre Online , Mr. Nguyen Hoang Chieu - owner of The Chill (District 1) - said that he invested in a 200-inch LED screen at a cost of nearly 600 million VND, along with a high-end speaker system to bring the most vivid experience to customers when they come to the restaurant to watch the final tonight.

"The restaurant has reached about 90% of its table capacity," Mr. Chieu revealed. "To create a passionate atmosphere, we also give out free stickers, flags and decorate the restaurant space."

"In particular, if Vietnam wins, we will give away an additional 3-liter beer tower for customers to enjoy together, contributing to spreading the spirit of sports and national pride," said Mr. Chieu.

At Phieu 2 Food & Beer (District 12), the atmosphere of the historic match is also heating up by the hour. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Son - the owner - said that the restaurant has invested in a large 150-inch projection screen, providing a sharp and vivid visual experience, helping customers enjoy the match to the fullest.

"In addition to the big screen, we also fully prepared cheering accessories such as flags, 'Vietnam is the champion' banners, face stickers and especially drums and fireworks from the Ministry of National Defense to celebrate when Vietnam scores," Mr. Son shared.

In addition, the restaurant also offers preferential programs such as giving away free drinks and reducing bills for customers.

To accommodate a large number of guests, the parking lot has also been expanded, tables and chairs have been flexibly rearranged to make it easier for guests to watch the match, and service staff has been increased.

"Not just to watch football, we want every guest who comes here to live in the most passionate atmosphere," said Mr. Son.

Many restaurant, eatery, and coffee shop owners also said they have prepared additional LED screens, televisions, decorative spaces, hand-held flags for customers, promotions, incentives... ready to welcome customers tonight.

Mr. Nguyen Nam (25 years old, living in District 3) shared that he and his group of friends had made an appointment to go to a restaurant in District 1 to watch the match.

"Watching football has to be at a pub, shouting and discussing together to be fun. Staying home alone is boring, especially after today's match. If we win, my friends and I will go crazy," Nam excitedly expressed.
