Vietnam provides Myanmar with 300,000 USD in aid, rescue forces have arrived in Myanmar

At the request of Myanmar, Vietnam decided to provide emergency aid of 300,000 USD and send professional rescue teams to the neighboring country. On the afternoon of March 30, a rescue team of 106 people landed in Yangon with relief supplies.

According to information from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Vietnam has decided to provide emergency relief supplies at Myanmar's request, providing 300,000 USD in aid to help Myanmar overcome the consequences of the earthquake.

On the afternoon of March 30, 2025, after nearly 2 hours of flight, at 6:15 p.m. local time, the working group of the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam, consisting of 106 people and relief goods, arrived at Yangon International Airport, Myanmar to carry out an international search and rescue mission. The rescue team was led by Major General Pham Van Ty, Deputy Director of the Department of Search and Rescue of the Ministry of National Defense, and Colonel Nguyen Minh Khuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Fire Prevention and Fighting, Ministry of Public Security.
