Like the People's Committee headquarters and the City Theater, Hai Phong Railway Station has a strong French architectural style. This is also a building that has maintained its purpose since its construction until now.
After 121 years of existence, the station's architectural items are preserved quite intact.
The main building has two floors with large windows, sturdy columns, European-style decorative motifs and a circular clock in the center.

The first floor is used for selling tickets and waiting to board the train. This area currently has many pictures of old Hai Phong for visitors to enjoy and take pictures.
The spiral staircase leading to the second floor is made of ironwood with an iron railing that remains sturdy after more than a century of use.
The table and chairs from the first day of Hai Phong station's operation are located in the second floor hallway, where many generations of station officials and leaders sit to chat and discuss work.
Currently, the second floor is the office of station staff and railway industry employees.
The awning that protects the corridor behind the station from the rain and sun has a row of white iron pillars with oval patterns and stylized leaf decorations. Over the ups and downs of time, some parts have rusted, but the pillars are still sturdy and have not needed to be replaced.

On November 21, 1946, the soldiers and station militia fought, destroyed two armored vehicles, one tank and killed many French troops.
Many people who love the nostalgic beauty often go to the station to take pictures. Every day, Hai Phong station has 8 trains departing and arriving. On weekends, the station welcomes about 2,000 visitors each day.
