Exhibition "50 years of Vietnamese literature and art after the country's reunification"

This is an important event in the series of activities to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the founding of Bac Kan province (April 11, 1900 - April 11, 2025), the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and "Bac Kan Culture - Tourism Week" in 2025.

The exhibition is not only an opportunity to look back at the brilliant achievements of our country’s literature and arts over the past half century, but also an opportunity to honor generations of artists who have devoted themselves to the development of the national culture. The event also demonstrates the deep concern of the Party, the State and Bac Kan province for culture, while affirming the important role of literature and arts in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

The exhibition displays 40 photographic works, 20 paintings, 1,500 books and various newspapers and magazines from the central and local levels as well as the winning entries of the Reading Culture Ambassador Contest in 2023 and 2024. The exhibition content truly reflects important historical milestones, outstanding achievements of the country and the natural beauty, people and culture of Bac Kan. In particular, the Exhibition also has a "Digital Exhibition" space displaying documents on Truong Sa and Hoang Sa - historical and legal evidence in 2025. This is an important content, contributing to affirming the sacred sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland, helping today's and future generations better understand the history and responsibility to protect national sovereignty.

In her opening speech, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Do Thi Hien emphasized that Bac Kan - a land rich in cultural and historical traditions - has also made important contributions to the development of the country's literature and arts. Generations of artists in the province have constantly created, preserved and promoted the national cultural identity through literature, photography, painting, music, theater, etc. The natural landscape, daily life and customs of ethnic minorities here have become an endless source of inspiration, vividly expressed in works of art.

The exhibition is not only a place to admire unique works of art but also an opportunity for artists, researchers and art lovers to exchange, share and discuss the value and mission of literature and art in the new era. At the same time, the event also contributes to encouraging and motivating artists to continue to create and contribute to bring the public valuable works, enriching the spiritual life of the people.
