Nguyen Anh Minh: The 'Enduring Passion' Award is a great motivation for me to continue conquering top golf

How did Anh Minh feel when receiving the "Ben Passion" award from the Vietnam Young Talent Support Fund? What does this mean to your career?

I am really happy and proud to receive this award. This is not only a personal encouragement but also a great source of motivation for me to continue to try harder in the future. The award also reminds me that to pursue my passion, I need to be persistent, make efforts every day and not be afraid to face challenges.

The "Ben Dam Me" award has an important meaning in my career, helping me look back on the past and aim for bigger goals in the future. I know that the path to conquering the pinnacle of golf and realizing the dream of bringing Vietnam to the world has just begun, there is still a long process ahead with many challenges. This award makes me more confident in the path I am on, creating great motivation and determination to help me conquer new heights.

Anh Minh has had a challenging journey with golf. Can you share the difficulties you have experienced?

Golf is a competitive sport that requires total concentration. In addition to long training sessions, I also have to travel to compete to gain experience and improve my skills. Balancing training, competition and study can be a big challenge at times.

In sports, you can’t always win. There are tournaments where the results may not be as expected, but the important thing is to overcome the defeat and keep moving forward. I am fortunate to have the support of my family, coaches, teammates and golf lovers, I always stay optimistic and don’t give up.

According to Anh Minh, what values ​​does golf bring to those who pursue it?

Golf is not only a sport that helps improve physical fitness, but each round is also a lesson in patience, discipline, concentration, and perseverance. When standing on the golf course, each shot requires not only technique, but also a combination of tactical thinking and the ability to control emotions.

Besides, golf is also a sport that promotes the spirit of fair-play, respect for opponents and honesty. Players not only compete with others but also have to overcome themselves, overcome their limits to continuously improve. Therefore, each round is not only a competition but also a journey of maturity and self-improvement. I believe that, at any level, golf always brings valuable lessons about life.

What message does Mr. Minh want to send to young people who are passionate about golf but still do not dare to enter the professional path?

I want to tell you: Be confident in yourself, try hard and be patient in pursuing your passion. Golf may not be easy, there will be pressure, failure, but if you work hard and are determined, you will get better every day. I hope to contribute to inspiring young people who love golf to develop this sport together in Vietnam.

Can you share about your upcoming goals, Minh?

I just returned from the US, after participating in the Junior Invitational 2025. I will continue to practice to improve my skills and prepare for upcoming international tournaments, especially the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand at the end of the year.

My long-term goal is to compete well in big playgrounds, aim for a professional golf career and contribute to promoting Vietnamese golf on the world map.
