Hang Dau Water Tower was built in 1894 and is one of the ancient architectural works of Hanoi. Hang Dau Water Tower (commonly known as Hang Dau booth) is located at the intersection of the following streets: Hang Than, Hang Luoc, Hang Giay, Hang Dau, Quan Thanh and Phan Dinh Phung (Ba Dinh district, Hanoi).

Hang Dau Water Tower was built together with Yen Phu Water Plant with the purpose of providing clean water to the people. Water from the plant is brought to two towers to be distributed through pipes throughout the city. For a long time, the water tower has not been used and has been abandoned.

In 2023, Hang Dau Water Tower will open for the first time to welcome visitors during the Hanoi Creative Design Festival. The place attracts thousands of people to visit and admire during the opening days.
