On the women's side, round 1 of the VLAO tournament also witnessed the "battle" for the top spot between Doan Xuan Khue Minh and Mirabel Ting Ern Hui. Doan Xuan Khue Minh started the first day with 2 birdies at holes 12 and 16. At the end of round 1, the 20-year-old athlete brought home an Even Par total with 3 bogeys and 3 birdies, surpassing Mirable and currently holding the leading position.
