TPO - The project to widen Tan Ky - Tan Quy road (section through Binh Tan district) to 30m will be completed in October 2024, helping to solve traffic congestion on the main road leading to the center of Ho Chi Minh City, while strengthening regional traffic connections with Tan Son Nhat airport.

Tan Ky Tan Quy Street is a main road at the Northwest gateway of Ho Chi Minh City, connecting Hoc Mon, Binh Tan, Tan Phu, Tan Binh districts and the city center. This is also the exit from T3 terminal (under construction), Tan Son Nhat airport to the West.

Started in March 2023, the Tan Ky Tan Quy road expansion project (section through Binh Tan district) with a total investment of more than 237 billion VND, is invested by the Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board (Traffic Board).

The project is 2km long, 30m wide, and includes the following works: Construction of rainwater and wastewater drainage systems, trees, lighting, technical trenches, and complete traffic organization.

After receiving the site, the investor will urgently construct, striving to complete the project by October 2024.

After the road was widened, there were still nearly 200 electric poles in the middle of the road.

The tangled electrical wiring system on Tan Ky Tan Quy Street. After the handover of the site and technical trenches is completed, Ho Chi Minh City Electricity Company will synchronously relocate the existing power grid and bury the electrical works to ensure continued power supply to people in the area.

The investment project to expand Tan Ky Tan Quy road is 1.98km long, from Binh Long road to Ma Lo (Binh Tan district). After the project is completed, the road surface will be widened to 30m.

Most of the houses along the road have been moved back, leaving the land empty in preparation for the project and the electric poles waiting to be relocated.
