For more than 30 years as Head of Quang Dong village, Cam Quang commune (Cam Xuyen, Ha Tinh), Mr. Nguyen Huy Tinh and the people have devoted themselves to building the poor countryside into a model new rural residential area.
Quang Dong village (Cam Quang commune) is changing color every day.
Coming to Quang Dong village these days, one can clearly feel the "transformation" of the countryside with flat concrete roads, straight green trees on both sides, spacious houses...
From a poor village, Quang Dong has risen strongly to become one of the first model new-style rural residential areas of Cam Quang commune. In that rise, the villagers always mention the efforts of the enthusiastic village chief Nguyen Huy Tinh (born in 1962).
Quang Dong villagers have long been familiar with the image of Village Chief Nguyen Huy Tinh, simple, enthusiastic, who works hard and talks like a dog, often encouraging and motivating people to open roads, build green fences, and create cool, peaceful green spaces.
Mr. Nguyen Huy Tinh has been a village chief for more than 30 years.
Mr. Tinh has been elected as village chief by the villagers since 1993. In more than 30 years of holding this role, Mr. Tinh has experienced many difficulties in mobilizing and propagating people to contribute to building the new rural area and taking care of economic development.
To "open up" the people's minds, he and his comrades in the village cadre union did not mind the hardship, taking advantage of the time to go to people's homes to learn about their thoughts and aspirations, and mobilize people to join hands to do great things.
Quang Dong villagers join forces to build new rural areas and beautify residential areas.
Mr. Tinh said: "To mobilize people to participate, the first thing is that cadres and party members in the village must lead by example. When no one in the commune had donated land or broken down fences to widen the road, my family and I took the lead in donating more than 100 square meters of land; from there, party members and people in the village followed suit and broke down fences to widen the road. Gradually, donating land to open roads really became a movement, wherever the road was opened, the villagers were willing to move the fence back there."
With his exemplary and positive attitude, Mr. Tinh has set an example for the people of Quang Dong village to actively work, produce, unite to build the new rural area, join hands to develop the economy, and gradually bring the poor countryside to prosperity.
The entire Quang Dong village has 158 households. Although the population is small, the people are very united. All movements are actively participated in by the people, especially the construction of the new rural area. Currently, the village has built 10 standard model gardens, 100% of the roads are concreted and asphalted... In particular, the village was recognized as a model new rural residential area at the provincial level in 2015.
Mr. Tinh said: "From 2015 to now, the people of Quang Dong village have donated more than 4,500 square meters of land, demolished 60 solid gate pillars, 500 meters of concrete fence, contributed more than 100,000 working days and nearly 1.5 billion VND to renovate the residential area... Thanks to those great contributions, Quang Dong village has become a bright spot of the commune and the district in building new rural areas".
Mr. Tinh always listens to the people's thoughts and aspirations to build the homeland together.
Mr. Nguyen Vi Hien - a resident of Quang Dong village shared: "Village Chief Nguyen Huy Tinh is a cadre who dares to think, dares to do, always listens to the people and is trusted and supported by the villagers. He always tries to research and bring plant varieties and practical economic models to popularize and help the villagers."
The concreted and cleanly paved roads, the lush green fences, and the lush green gardens have made Quang Dong a prosperous countryside. That will be the motivation and pride for every local resident to strive to preserve and further promote the good results.
