* On the morning of May 20, the 7th Session of the 15th National Assembly solemnly opened in Hanoi. Based on the National Assembly's Working Program at the 7th Session for 26.5 days (from May 20 to June 28, 2024; divided into 2 phases: phase 1 from May 20 to June 8; phase 2 from June 17 to June 28), the draft Resolution on piloting the addition of a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Nghe An province will be submitted by the Government to the National Assembly on the 11th working day of the 7th Session.
* On the morning of May 20, the Nghe An Provincial Military Command held a ceremony to launch a peak emulation campaign to welcome the Provincial Armed Forces Emulation Congress for the period 2019 - 2024 with the theme "Solidarity, innovation, emulation, determination to win".
* The Department of Education and Training has just announced the admission form for the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2024-2024 school year for schools in Nghe An province. Accordingly, many public schools have extremely high competition rates.
* According to the plan, this year Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted will enroll 525 students in 11 specialized classes including Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Information Technology, Literature, History, Geography, Japanese, Chinese, French, and Russian. According to the Department of Education and Training, more than 2,100 candidates have registered for the school in this year's exam. Of which, the specialized class with the largest number of candidates registering for the exam is Literature with 316 candidates.

* On May 20, the People's Court of Nghe An province held the first instance trial of Thao Phenh Va (born in 1971, residing in Nam Tay village, Vieng Phan village cluster, Sam To district, Hua Phan province, Lao People's Democratic Republic) for the crimes of "Illegal transportation of drugs" and "Transportation of prohibited goods".
