Emulation Congress to win Quang Tri Border Guard

This morning, June 20, the Border Guard Command of Quang Tri province organized the Emulation Congress for Victory (TĐQT) for the period 2019-2024. Over the past 5 years, closely following the leadership and direction of all levels, the Quang Tri Border Guard has proposed many policies and solutions to comprehensively and focusedly implement the TĐQT movement with innovations in content, form, and practical organizational methods, closely following political tasks and oriented towards the grassroots.

The TDQT movement has directly contributed to building agencies and units that are strong in politics, ideology, and organization; building a contingent of cadres and soldiers with strong political will, ready to receive and complete all tasks well. The TDQT movement has become the driving force and foundation for the Border Guard to excellently fulfill its tasks of managing and firmly protecting territorial sovereignty and national border security; building a strong all-people border defense, protecting political security, social order and safety in border areas.

Typically, in the period of 2019-2024, the Provincial Border Guard directly and coordinated with functional forces to successfully combat 39 projects, 580 drug cases, arresting 1,310 subjects with evidence of over 2.6 million pills of various drugs, 215 kg of crystal meth, 37.1 kg of ketamine and many other evidences. Detecting and arresting 107 cases/121 subjects of illegal buying, selling, transporting, storing and using firecrackers, seizing 7,586.1 kg of various types of firecrackers. Successfully combating 1 project, 5 cases of organizing brokerage for others to illegally enter and exit the country; arresting and handling 757 cases/432 subjects of smuggling with a total value of goods of more than 14 billion VND...

Emulation movements to participate in building and consolidating political bases and developing local socio-economics have been effectively implemented, such as: "Bread on the border", "Border lessons", "Start-up breeding goats", "Helping children go to school", "Adopted children of border guards", "Border spring - warming the hearts of villagers" with the mobilization of resources to give tens of thousands of gifts worth 5.94 billion VND to disadvantaged people...

In addition, the work of TĐKT is given attention and timely encouragement by all levels, seriously implemented closely with the work of cadres and policies according to the correct procedures, ensuring democracy.

In the next phase, the Quang Tri Border Guard will continue to deploy the TĐQT movement in conjunction with high-point emulation movements, raids, campaigns and local patriotic movements. Strive to excellently complete the emulation targets and contents for the 2024-2029 period in conjunction with excellently completing political tasks, building a comprehensively strong provincial Border Guard, "exemplary, typical", in order to firmly protect territorial sovereignty and border security.

Speaking at the congress, Deputy Political Commissar, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Emulation and Reward Council of the Border Guard Command, Major General Phung Quoc Tuan acknowledged and commended the outstanding achievements of the Quang Tri Border Guard in the period of 2019-2024. At the same time, he requested the unit to continue to thoroughly grasp and seriously implement resolutions and policies of all levels to make the TĐQT movement a specific and regular activity contributing to the successful implementation of tasks.

Regarding emulation work, it is necessary to continue to innovate forms and methods to focus on breakthroughs in key and central contents, linking the emulation movement with the local patriotic emulation movement; focusing on discovering, nurturing, and replicating advanced models, good people and good deeds to encourage and create a widespread emulation movement.
