On April 17, at Phan Dang Luu High School (Krong Buk district), the Dak Lak Provincial Literature and Arts Association coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Provincial Youth Union, and the District People's Committee to organize the Book and Reading Culture Day 2024. Over 1,000 students and young people in Krong Buk district attended. Chairman of Dak Lak Province Literature and Arts Association Nie Thanh Mai spoke at the program. The activity aims to celebrate the 120th anniversary of the founding of Dak Lak province (November 22, 1904 - November 22, 2024); at the same time, honor the value of books, affirm the position, role and importance of books in social life. With the theme "Reading - Welcoming the future", Book and Reading Culture Day 2024 in Krong Buk district is organized with many exciting activities such as: Launching a contest to learn about the 120th anniversary of the founding of Dak Lak province; giving books, introducing books and interacting with authors; exploring the Spring Library with 2,000 books, games with books; displaying literature books, life skills, newspapers and magazines.

On the sidelines of the program, there are also art photo exhibitions on the history, culture, and landscapes of Dak Lak province; experiences in calligraphy, handicrafts from scraps of fabric, art knitting, and figurines; booths introducing cuisine and traditional crafts of Krong Buk district; introducing Stem technology applications for teachers and students; promoting traffic culture; forum "Dak Lak Youth Preserves and Promotes National Cultural Values"... Chairman of the Dak Lak Literature and Arts Association Nie Thanh Mai said that in recent years, the Association has coordinated with many departments, branches, organizations, unions, businesses, and individuals to go to remote areas to give books to children to spread the beautiful values of books and reading culture. In 2024, the Association will make many trips to give books to schools in remote areas such as Buon Don, M'Drak, Krong Pak, Krong Nang, and Ea Sup. Book and Reading Culture Day 2024 comes to Krong Buk district to spread, ignite the passion, love for books and create good values for future generations. At the same time, contribute to spreading the beautiful image of the land and people of Krong Buk district in particular, Dak Lak province in general.
Students experience making bookmarks at Book and Reading Culture Day 2024. Le Thi Hong Thuong, a student of class 10A5, Phan Dang Luu High School, shared that this is the first time the school has organized a large-scale Book and Reading Culture Day with many exciting and useful activities. She is very happy and excited to join her friends in participating in the activities and opening a food stall to raise funds. She hopes that there will be many large book programs organized locally in the near future. According to Mr. Ngo Trung Vinh, Head of the Department of Culture and Information of Krong Buk district, the district has 6 communes and one town. The socio-economic conditions are still difficult, so the Book and Reading Culture Day in 2024 is a practical and meaningful activity, forming a habit of reading, creating an important foundation for self-study and lifelong learning of each person, contributing to improving people's knowledge, nurturing talents, and meeting integration requirements. On this occasion, the Organizing Committee awarded 36 scholarships (500,000 VND/scholarship). The Provincial Red Cross Society awarded 20 scholarships (VND 300,000/scholarship) to students in difficult circumstances who excel in their studies.
