At around 8:30 a.m. on August 5, on Provincial Road 153, in Bao Tan 1 village, Bao Nhai commune, Bac Ha district, localized flooding occurred, causing traffic congestion, with the deepest flooding point reaching 80 cm.
The cause of the flooding was determined to be the unusually high water level of the Chay River.


Immediately after receiving the information, the Traffic Police - Order Team, Bac Ha District Police, Bao Nhai Commune Police, Bao Nhai Commune militia... were present to guide, regulate traffic and support people to move safely through flooded areas.


As of 11:10 a.m., the water level is receding, the deepest point is about 30 cm, the movement of people and vehicles through flooded areas is easier and more convenient.
