These days, at the construction sites of many key 110kV power grid projects in the Southern provinces managed by the Southern Power Corporation (EVNSPC), hundreds of officers, workers and engineers are working hard to "race" with the determination to bring the projects to the finish line on schedule. Whether it is a working day or a weekend, the construction sites are always lit up.
To meet the progress in the last 3 months of the year to put 46 110kV power grid projects into operation, from October 2024 to now, there are almost no weekends on 110kV power grid projects in the Southern region.
During the project implementation in the last months of the year, many areas were in the flood season, heavy rains caused many difficulties and challenges in construction as well as transportation of equipment and materials.
To overcome difficulties and challenges and complete projects on schedule, the lights on 110kV power projects in the Southern region are always on these days, with the spirit of "working during the day is not enough, so work at night".
Joining forces with contractors and construction units are the staff of EVNSPC member units. They do not mind the difficulties and hardships, working all night to perform testing and calibration of equipment serving the work of energizing the project.
Not only being determined in management, EVNSPC leaders are often present directly at construction sites day and night to direct, remove difficulties and obstacles of projects and encourage workers.
EVNSPC leaders congratulated the forces participating in the successful energization of the 110kV Long Thanh Airport substation and connecting lines late at night on November 27.
With high determination, great efforts and joint efforts of all forces participating in the project, from October 2024 to present, EVNSPC has energized and put into operation 35 key 110kV power grid projects in the Southern provinces; including particularly important projects serving key national projects such as the Long Thanh Airport 110kV Transformer Station Project and connecting lines.
In the first 11 months of the year, EVNSPC energized and put into operation 51 key power grid projects; of which 26 projects were energized in November 2024 alone, making an important contribution to ensuring safe and reliable power supply, improving the quality of electricity to serve the socio-economic development and people's lives in 21 southern provinces and cities.
In December 2024, EVNSPC will continue to vigorously implement the management, direction and supervision of investment and construction to energize 17 more important power projects, completing the 2024 plan targets.
