Each manufacturing enterprise and business establishment has its own criteria and conditions for operation, so to ensure the highest level of product accuracy, it is impossible not to mention the benefits of measurement activities. This activity not only affects the production and business efficiency of enterprises but also relates to consumer rights. In order for enterprises to improve the quality of measurement in production, the Department of Standards, Metrology and Quality (Department of Science and Technology) has actively promoted, disseminated, and supported enterprises to understand and properly implement the provisions of the law on measurement.

To ensure accurate measurement criteria, every year, the Department often has programs to review and inspect the quality of products and goods at enterprises and production and business establishments. Currently, in the province, there are 5 organizations designated to inspect measuring instruments: Center for Technical Services for Standards, Metrology and Quality (Department of Science and Technology), Center for Electrical Testing (Thanh Hoa Electricity Joint Stock Company), water meter branch (Thanh Hoa Water Supply Joint Stock Company), water meter inspection department (Center for Rural Water and Environmental Sanitation) and Thanh Hoa Measurement and Quality Joint Stock Company. In 2023, the Center for Technical Services for Standards, Metrology and Quality inspected and calibrated 8,939 measuring instruments; analyzed and tested 2,907 quality samples on biochemistry, environment and construction materials, grounding; 5,000 electricity meters and 2,670 cold water meters were tested and compared. Regarding the propaganda work on measurement, also in 2023, the Department of Standards, Metrology and Quality organized 3 propaganda conferences, guiding the innovation of measurement activities for nearly 1,000 enterprises in the province operating in the fields of: trading in petroleum, clean water; production of ceramics, porcelain, construction materials and packaged goods... Thanks to the updated knowledge, the awareness and level of measurement work of enterprises have also been significantly improved.

Thanks to investing in modern measuring equipment and machinery, plus actively learning knowledge from training sessions organized by the Department of Standards, Metrology and Quality, Anh Phat Petro Joint Stock Company has become one of the prestigious petroleum enterprises in the province, thereby creating trust with consumers. Currently, the enterprise is using 2 SEEN-type gasoline and oil measuring columns with an inspection period until September 2024. At gas station No. 08, measurement quality management is always closely monitored. However, the store only has 3 employees on duty, but the number of customers coming in and out every day is quite large, inevitably causing questions from consumers, so the store has equipped a set of measuring cups for relevant authorities to monitor and check; and ready to respond to customer complaints about measurements if any.
By complying with the requirements of the Law on Measurement, businesses can save on material costs, protect the environment, and improve the accuracy and quality of their products, thereby increasing their competitiveness.

In addition, the company also regularly organizes training activities to raise awareness and capacity of workers about the measurement process in production. Thanks to that, the company's product quality is highly effective, bringing many large orders in the second quarter of 2024.
Practice has proven that when measuring well in the production and business process, enterprises will standardize and maintain stable product quality, thereby building prestige with customers and contributing to protecting consumers' rights. According to Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Quy, Head of the Measurement Management Department, Department of Standards, Metrology and Quality (Department of Science and Technology), said: In the coming time, the department will continue to promote the dissemination of knowledge, recommended solutions as well as mobilize enterprises to further improve the quality of measurement in production and business. In parallel, the department also coordinates with the General Department of Standards, Metrology and Quality to send technical staff of the department to be trained in measurements, evaluation of means, technology, measuring equipment and measurement activities.
