Nguyen Tung Son, a 4th year student majoring in Literature Pedagogy at Hanoi National University of Education, has just won the title of 1st Runner-up of the 2024 Elegant Student Contest. Immediately after being crowned, the male student's image was widely shared on social media platforms, accompanied by compliments such as "heart-stopping beauty", "radiant beauty"... Many people commented that Son is as handsome as a Korean movie actor.
Winning the runner-up title, Son was surprised and happy because he was neither the most beautiful person in the contest nor the most talented. “What makes me stand out is probably the enthusiasm of youth,” Son said.
Not only did he excellently win the 1st runner-up title, Nguyen Tung Son also attracted attention for his high academic achievements.
In grade 12, Son was the only student of Nguyen Canh Chan High School (Nghe An) to simultaneously win two provincial excellent student awards, including third prize in Literature and consolation prize in History, and was admitted directly to Hanoi Pedagogical University.
Inspired by his father, who was a primary school teacher, Son always dreamed of standing on the podium since he was a child. Therefore, after a short time studying at Hanoi Pedagogical University, the male student opened his own Literature class, aiming to spread the love of literature. From this class, there were students who were valedictorians and salutatorians in block C00 in the high school graduation exams.

Before reaching the title of 1st Runner-up of Elegant Student 2024, Son was in the top 20 of Vietnam International MC Contest and Champion of The Star Glory Model Vietnam modeling contest.
The male student said that he participates in artistic activities only for the purpose of experience, teaching is still his top goal.
“I still want to focus on my major and become a literature teacher. The image I aim for is a standard, dynamic and creative Gen Z teacher,” Son said.
