More than 4 thousand 5th graders participated in computer competency assessment survey

NDO - On the morning of April 13, more than 4,000 5th graders participated in the Competency Assessment Survey at Luong The Vinh Middle and High School, Hanoi. In addition to the large number of candidates, the notable point of this year's survey is that for the first time, the test was taken on a computer, instead of on paper as in previous years.

One of the new features of this year's survey is that students take the test online on computers through the LTV Exam software deployed internally by the school. Students work directly on computers arranged in survey rooms with a simple, easy-to-use interface and specific instructions before taking the test.

The school has carefully implemented the switch to computer-based testing, both to increase consistency in organization and to support more objective grading, helping students get used to testing using technology.

At the school gate, students and parents arrived early to prepare for the test. For many students, this was their first time taking the test on a computer, so many families proactively prepared in advance so that their children would be mentally prepared when entering the test room.

Sharing about the new points in this year's survey, Vice Principal of Luong The Vinh Middle and High School, Van Thuy Duong, said: The change from paper-based survey to computer-based survey is an adjustment step in line with the long-term orientation of the school's teaching and learning.

From the 2025-2026 school year, the 10th grade admission process at Luong The Vinh Middle and High School has been conducted entirely online, parents can register and submit applications directly on their mobile phones. This method is not only more convenient for parents and students, but also helps the school shorten the time to process applications, reducing procedural pressure during the admissions season.

“We always try to streamline the process so that each admission season is not only effective but also more friendly and accessible to students and parents,” Ms. Van Thuy Duong shared.

This year is the first year the school has implemented the form of taking tests on computers in the entrance exam for grade 6. This conversion has been carefully prepared from the technical system, facilities to the organization of instructions, to help students access a modern form, close to the trend of applying technology in education.

The survey is not only an opportunity for students to demonstrate their language and thinking abilities, but also an activity that clearly demonstrates the educational orientation that Luong The Vinh Middle and High School pursues: building a serious learning environment, training students' will, adaptability and independent thinking.
