According to the initial investigation results, Pham Hong Thai has a labor contract with Th.Ph. Express Delivery Company and receives a monthly salary.

In March 2023, when the incident was discovered, Th.Ph. Company filed a complaint with the Investigation Police Agency of Thang Binh District Police.

When the police took over the case, Thai fled the area. After collecting documents and evidence, on August 18, the Investigation Police Agency of Thang Binh District Police issued a decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused, and ban him from leaving the country. Then, on August 24, they issued a wanted notice for Pham Hong Thai for the crime of embezzlement.
