In 2025, Muong La district strives to produce an estimated mango output of 5,350 tons of fruit and plans to officially export 1,000 tons of fruit to the Chinese market.

Muong La district currently has a total mango growing area of ​​2,799 hectares, of which the area with a growing area code is 104 hectares; The area with VietGAP certification is 45 hectares, the main varieties include: Taiwanese GL4 mango, Keo mango (smelly mango), Thai mango. Harvest time is from the end of April to July 2025, the area for products is 1,879 hectares, concentrated in the communes of Muong Bu, Muong Chum, Ta Bu, Chieng San, Chieng Hoa, .. The consumption market includes wholesale markets of Dien Bien, Lai Chau, Lao Cai provinces; Big C Supermarket, Vimart, Hanoi..., and exports to China, through units such as: Hung Thinh Cooperative, Doan Ket Cooperative, Dao Ngoc Cooperative, Muong Bu Agricultural Cooperative, Manh Khoi Cooperative, small traders and wholesalers... the remaining output will be brought to processing factories.

Mango is a key fruit tree of Muong La district. To support people in consuming all mango output, the district has directed specialized agencies to search for and connect with businesses to purchase mangoes for consumption in the domestic market and for export.
