Ao dai has been going through a long journey of formation and development, constantly innovating and renewing with different shapes and materials, but above all, it still retains the value and cultural quintessence of Vietnamese women. It is still discreet, delicate, graceful, not showing off too much but still highlighting the beauty and soft curves of the woman's body, full of charisma.

October 10, 70 years ago (1954), the day Uncle Ho's soldiers entered the capital to take over the capital, joyfully welcomed by tens of thousands of people. Female students in their most beautiful costumes, including flowing white ao dai, waving flowers and flags, joyfully welcoming, was an image that brought a lot of inspiration. I still see those images in precious documentary photos today, so touching and full of pride.

This year, the 2024 Ao Dai Festival will be a special occasion to recreate the 70-year historical journey of the Liberation of the Capital with the image of the Vietnamese Ao Dai as the main center. The Ao Dai mass performance will be an activity that the people of Hanoi and the whole country look forward to. The Ao Dai mass performance events or the Ao Dai Anniversary Week on important events always make me feel proud and deeply moved.

This year's Ao Dai Carnival is special because there will be a Ao Dai performance at Thang Long Imperial Citadel and a walking parade in Ao Dai, with the planned route starting from Doan Mon Square, Thang Long Heritage Conservation Center - Hanoi - Hoang Dieu - Hoang Van Thu - Doc Lap - Thang Long Imperial Citadel. These places have gone down in history, marking the many feats of our ancestors.

This year's festival has a cultural and artistic space, the capital's artisans will perform traditional folk arts: Quan Ho, Ca Tru, Chau Van, Xam, Bai Bong dance, Bong dance, Hau Dong ... combined with Ao Dai performances. Through this activity, the Organizing Committee hopes to bring visitors new emotions about the beauty of Ao Dai in the ancient cultural and artistic space. Along with that is the Ao Dai photo exhibition space with the main contents: Ao Dai past and present in Vietnamese culture; Ao Dai with international friends and tourists; Ao Dai in tourism activities, suppliers of Ao Dai materials, Ao Dai decoration accessories; Traditional Ao Dai and modern creations; famous Vietnamese Ao Dai brands and designers.

Wherever, wherever, the image of the Ao Dai is the embodiment of the beloved homeland of Vietnam. The beauty of the Ao Dai will not be mixed with any other country's costume, it is a very unique beauty, very Vietnamese.
