The Party Congress of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will be a model congress.

Speaking at the opening of the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh said that the Standing Committee of the Government Party Committee has decided to establish Steering Groups and support units of the Steering Groups to guide the congresses of Party Committees.

Steering Group No. 08 is in charge of directing the Party Congresses: Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions; Southern Food Corporation; Vietnam Expressway Corporation, in which the Party Congress of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is the model congress.

Emphasizing that this National Party Congress is taking place in the context of the country carrying out many important tasks such as reorganizing the political system, achieving the growth target of 8% or more, etc., the Deputy Prime Minister said that the meeting aims to inform about the Steering Group, its composition, functions and tasks, and at the same time listen to reports from Party Committees on the preparations for the congress, focusing on removing difficulties and obstacles (if any).

At the meeting, delegates also heard the announcement of the decision to establish the group and deploy the work contents.

After listening to the Party Committees’ reports on the preparations for the congress and the opinions of members of Steering Group 08, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh acknowledged the results in the direction and leadership of the four Party Committees: Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions, Southern Food Corporation; Vietnam Expressway Corporation. The Party Committees have seriously implemented and concretized the plan, prepared political reports, executive committee reviews, and personnel work.

In the coming time, the Deputy Prime Minister requested that Party Committees continue to be proactive in reviewing the content of the work to prepare for the congress; thoroughly grasp Directive No. 35-CT/TW, dated June 14, 2024, Conclusion No. 118-KL/TW, dated January 18, 2025 of the Politburo and the Central Committee's directives and instructions, plans and instructions of the Government Party Committee Standing Committee to Party cells.

Review and supplement new contents in the issued congress plan or develop a congress plan (for newly established Party Committees) to ensure proper implementation of requirements and contents.

New adjustments and supplements from the Central Committee on the direction and guidance of the congress will be updated and disseminated to party organizations immediately after the Central Committee unanimously issues them.

The Deputy Prime Minister requested Party Committees to draw lessons from the model congresses at the grassroots level, continue to replicate and complete the grassroots congresses, and promptly resolve any difficulties and problems that arise. The preparation of political reports, review reports, and personnel must be serious, in accordance with principles and regulations.

Regarding the time of the congress, the Deputy Prime Minister requested the Party Committee of the model congress - the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to urgently complete all preparations, report to the Government Party Committee for consideration and comments before April 30, 2025. But before that, from April 17-20, it must report to the Steering Group for comments before reporting to the Standing Committee of the Government Party Committee.

For the remaining 3 Party Committees: Report to the Standing Committee of the Government Party Committee on the contents of the congress preparation, for the Party Committee of Vietnam Expressway Corporation as the grassroots Party Committee, before June 1, 2025.

For the two grassroots Party Committees, including the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions and the Southern Food Corporation, report to the Standing Committee of the Government Party Committee on the contents of the congress preparations from June 10 to June 20, 2025.

Regarding the proposals and recommendations, the Deputy Prime Minister said that the Steering Committee has taken note and will provide guidance after reporting to the Government Party Committee Standing Committee./.
