First of all, if possible, it is advisable to combine subjects with similar characteristics in some activities. For example, the subject of experiential activities and career guidance can be combined with the subject of local education, because some topics of these two subjects have many similarities. And when giving students practical experience, it will also save time, effort and finances of the learners.

Second, take advantage of common activities, such as the flag-raising period in the yard, to organize single or interdisciplinary thematic activities for students. Some high schools have proactively done this well. That is, common thematic activities for each grade level during the second flag-raising period and have reduced the load of 1 period for students in the timetable. For example, the subject of experiential activities and career guidance for grade 11 has been reduced from 3 periods to 2 periods. In Ho Chi Minh City, since the beginning of last year and this year, local educational documents for grades 10 and 11 have not been issued in time. However, due to proactiveness and flexibility, many schools have arranged 2 periods per week in the second semester, but still do not cause overload, because they have reserved 1 period for common activities in the yard according to the topic.
Third, except for centralized testing, when developing regular testing and assessment plans, subject groups need to coordinate with each other to spread out the time evenly over each semester, avoiding congestion and overlap at one time, causing overload for students.
Building a reasonable timetable, balancing natural and social subjects, theory and practice; not arranging too many periods of one subject in one class; avoiding arranging classes on Saturdays... is also a way to reduce pressure on students.
