The Hue - Da Nang tourist train is expected to operate on March 26 with many new services in the passenger cars.
On March 1, Mr. Hoang Hai Minh, Vice Chairman of Thua Thien - Hue Province, had a working session with Vietnam Railways Corporation on the implementation of the Hue - Da Nang tourist train. The units and localities agreed on a number of plans and solutions to put the Hue - Da Nang tourist train into operation on the occasion of March 26.

Mr. Hoang Hai Minh said that it is necessary to build a different service for the Hue - Da Nang route in the direction of experiencing the train, having tourism services on the route as well as between the two destinations Hue and Da Nang, at the same time contributing to ensuring traffic for people between the two cities.
Vietnam Railways Corporation assessed the service as "very suitable" for families, helping tourists to enjoy the scenery of mountains, beaches, etc. This train line has two stations, Hue and Da Nang, both located in the city center, with a large number of domestic and foreign passengers in need of two-way travel, convenient for passengers to travel.

In 2023, Vietnam Railways Corporation invested in renovating the interior and purchasing new equipment to serve passengers at Hue and Da Nang stations. The interior of the train was also renovated, air-conditioned, and airy. The aluminum framed signboard system was replaced with new TV screens, and the old train waiting benches were replaced with new types of chairs made of various materials, shapes, and sizes according to the waiting room space. Passenger cars are equipped with an electrical system to charge phone batteries, free drinking water dispensers, or automatic beverage vending machines.
Vietnam Railways Corporation hopes that Thua Thien Hue province and Da Nang city will support the early implementation of the Hue - Da Nang tourist train.
