Expanding domestic market

The story of market connection and trade promotion is not only necessary for export goods but also really urgent for domestic goods. In particular, the supermarket distribution channel has supported many product outputs for farmers. The cooperation between agricultural producers and retail chains is very beneficial for producers when the output is unstable, avoiding a decline in revenue and increasing profits. From there, it aims to stabilize the source of raw materials not only for domestic consumption but also for export processing. It is worth mentioning that in the process of growth of the domestic market, the distribution system has focused on consuming Vietnamese goods, thereby contributing to stimulating domestic production. Currently, on supermarket shelves, convenience stores, in urban and rural areas, Vietnamese goods always account for 85-90%. With an agricultural land area of about 356,746 hectares, a long coastline and a large territorial sea, Binh Thuan is a locality with conditions to comprehensively develop the agricultural sector in all three areas: cultivation, livestock and aquaculture. Therefore, in recent times, the province has focused on devoting a lot of investment resources, contributing to promoting the development of the province's agricultural sector. However, in reality, there are still many difficulties, agricultural production is still small and fragmented, linkage and cooperation in production according to the value chain in agriculture are still limited, and efficiency is not high. The Resolution of the 14th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025, determined: focusing on developing 3 pillars associated with the application of high technology and value chains, which are industry, tourism and agriculture to bring Binh Thuan province to develop quickly and sustainably. In particular, in recent years, the province has had many solutions to expand the market for the province's agricultural products. Accordingly, the province, together with the functional agencies and localities of the province, supports people and businesses in finding domestic and foreign markets to ensure stable output for the province's agricultural products. Accordingly, departments and branches have coordinated with localities to support businesses in participating in the Trade Promotion Program, the Industrial Promotion Program of the province and the country, creating conditions for businesses to promote their brands, joint ventures, and associations to perfect technological processes and processing processes to meet the requirements of the markets. In addition, departments and branches also coordinate with localities to organize the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods", thereby helping production and business enterprises to be more responsible and ethical towards consumers and produce many high-quality Vietnamese goods, rich in variety, beautiful designs, reasonable prices, meeting the needs, tastes and trust of consumers. People in the province are also aware of prioritizing the use of domestically produced goods in consumption, which has had a positive impact on the development of the domestic consumption market.

Take advantage of agricultural export opportunities

Regarding export markets, the provincial departments and branches have proactively promoted the opportunities of signed free trade agreements to stabilize traditional markets, expand new markets, avoid dependence on a few markets, and promote official exports. Regularly contact the northern border provinces to grasp the opening situation of official border gates, secondary border gates, and border markets to promptly provide information to enterprises and cooperatives producing, trading, and exporting agricultural products in the province to be proactive in harvesting and purchasing goods, and coordinate in transporting goods to the northern border gate area reasonably to ensure the safety and quality of goods, and avoid price pressure. Review and count the output of agricultural products to deploy appropriate solutions to support connection and consumption. Deploying monthly trade promotion conferences with foreign markets to update export promotion requirements of localities, industry associations, enterprises and cooperatives, creating a forum to disseminate information, policies, and foreign market opportunities to serve the management of trade promotion activities and support enterprises and cooperatives to have orientation in production, taking advantage of agricultural export opportunities. At the same time, improving the capacity to forecast, evaluate, and warn about information on the market of key agricultural products, promptly providing information to people and businesses. Applying digital technology to monitor supply in key agricultural production areas, assessing demand in key domestic and foreign markets, monitoring the circulation and storage of goods transported at main transaction border gates. In particular, the province also supports the Association in registering trademarks and granting certificates of the Right to Use Geographical Indications for a number of agricultural products of the province. The province's viewpoint is how to develop a modern, sustainable, high-value-added agricultural sector. Organic production associated with linking production, processing, consumption according to the value chain and protecting the ecological environment is the key task and solution to develop the agricultural sector to become one of the three pillars of the province's economy... Therefore, farmers and businesses must determine that no matter what market they serve, they must take care to have high-quality agricultural products, ensuring food hygiene and safety...
