According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on November 23, a strong cold air mass is moving south from the North.

Around the evening and night of November 25, this cold air mass will affect the northeastern provinces, then affect the North Central, Northwest and Central Central regions. Northeast winds inland will be strong at level 3-4, coastal areas at level 4-5.

The meteorological agency assessed that soil moisture models showed that some areas in the above provinces were nearly saturated (over 85%) or reached a saturated state.

Warning: In the next 3-6 hours, the above provinces will continue to have rain, with common accumulated rainfall: Binh Dinh 40-80mm, some places over 120mm; Thua Thien Hue, Da Nang, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai provinces 20-50mm, some places over 90mm; Phu Yen 10-25mm, some places over 50mm.

In the next 6 hours, there is a risk of flash floods on small rivers and streams, and landslides on steep slopes in many districts of the above provinces.

Flash floods, landslides, and land subsidence caused by heavy rains and floods can have negative impacts on the environment, threaten people's lives; cause local traffic congestion, destroy civil and economic works, and cause damage to production and socio-economic activities.

The meteorological agency recommends that localities pay attention to reviewing bottlenecks and vulnerable locations in the area to ensure safety.
